Health education standards help schools define what students should know and be able to do at different stages of learning. But identifying standards is only part of the work. Educators also need curriculum that gives students meaningful opportunities to develop and apply that knowledge.
Lessonbee’s new Health Education Standards Alignment resource makes it easier for educators and school leaders to see how Lessonbee lessons connect to state and national health education standards.
Find Standards-Aligned Lessons
The new resource brings Lessonbee’s standards alignment information into one place so educators can explore the standards represented across our curriculum.
Lessonbee currently provides alignment information for the National Health Education Standards as well as standards in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. We’ll continue adding and updating alignments as our curriculum and standards coverage grow.
See the Connection Between Standards and Lessons
Each state standards page is designed to help educators move from a standard to relevant Lessonbee instruction.
For example, the California alignment identifies standards by grade level and includes the official content area, overarching standard, standard description, and the Lessonbee lesson aligned to it. Educators can see, for example, how Eating Healthy supports California nutrition standards and how Trauma and Sleep Disorders supports mental, emotional, and social health standards.
This makes the resource useful when educators are:
- planning standards-aligned health instruction
- evaluating Lessonbee for a school or district
- identifying lessons that address specific curriculum requirements
- documenting how instructional resources connect to state expectations
Built for Real Health Education Planning
Standards alignment is most useful when it helps educators make instructional decisions.
Lessonbee’s curriculum for grades 3–12 uses interactive lessons and real-life scenarios to help students develop health knowledge and skills, while the Lessonbee Teacher Guide provides additional instructional support including lesson objectives, discussion prompts, activities, assessments, and standards alignment.
The new standards resource gives educators another way to navigate that curriculum: start with the requirements that matter to your school, then see which Lessonbee learning experiences support them.
Don’t See Your State?
