Our Mission
We’re on a mission to eliminate health illiteracy in this generation and build a stronger, more resilient society. Lack of health knowledge and skills costs the economy trillions annually. When children receive inadequate health education, they are less prepared to make informed decisions, build healthy relationships, and thrive throughout their lives.
Educators and parents need resources to support youth health and well-being. Businesses need workers with the capacity to self-manage and the interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively. More broadly, our society needs people who can solve problems, respect differences, and think critically to make wise and ethical decisions.
The Lessonbee Foundation addresses these challenges at the root through culturally responsive health education that creates a foundation for lifelong well-being, learning, and workforce readiness. We expand access to Lessonbee® digital health education in classrooms, homes, and youth-serving organizations, helping young people navigate real-life choices, challenges, and conversations with confidence.
Through our Health Education Heroes initiative, we prepare health teachers to implement Lessonbee with fidelity by providing professional learning, implementation support, and evidence-based resources. By aligning health education with workforce preparation, we are strengthening the nonclinical youth mental health workforce while helping the next generation build the knowledge, skills, and habits needed to lead healthier lives and contribute to stronger communities.
